Text Box: Librarians, teachers, and principals all agree that having an author visit their school is one of the best investments they have every made.  Students remember their entire life. They are inspired to put words to paper and create.  
Bettina loves to visit schools and interact with young readers.  She can inspire a reluctant reader, a future scientist, or perhaps the next Pulitzer Prize winner?

Text Box: Kindergarden—4th grade. “Moosing Around”  This program runs 35 minutes.  Includes comical reading of Moose and Magpie.  Then, through a science-led discussion of zany moose facts, singing songs, enrichment and laughter.  Kids and adults say “Wow!  I didn’t know that!” - Small group setting.

4th grade to adult.  30 minutes.  “Star Wars and the story arc”  This program inspires children and adults  to the art of writing fiction, but at their level!  Character, conflict, and point of view are introduced in a fun and enthusiastic way.  Bettina uses “Star Wars” to explain the story arc so that the student will never forget!

4th grade and above.  “The Magic of Reading”  In this program, Bettina will discuss how books and libraries directed her life, inspired her imagination, and empowered her to move beyond what she ever thought was possible.  She concludes with a reading the prologue from “Illegal”.  This program uses a laptop and projector (you provide screen and projector) Large group setting.  

6th grade thru adult.  “Stubborn”  In this program, Bettina discusses how her first novel took eight years to reach  publication.  Bettina explains the publishing industry, her influences, and how she persevered.  This inspiring program will influence any student or adult— that with the right plan, a lot of patience, and lots hard work, they can achieve  their goals.
