Bettina received her Bachelor of Science in Speech communication from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993. 

She flunked economics her freshman year and decided a business degree wasn’t a good idea.  She spent too many years in the corporate world, and finally got brave enough to become a writer.

She loves getting dressed up at Halloween.

Random Facts about Bettina

· She argued with her high school English teachers.  A LOT.  They were correct about passive sentence but wrong about Animal Farm.

· She speaks Spanish poorly and her German is even worse.   This is because her parents argued over which language to speak in the house.

· She worked at McDonald’s in high school . While other kids were cruising on Saturday night, she was reading and working the drive thru.

· She was an Internal Auditor for ten years.  She has since fired herself from doing the taxes. 

· She is described as “quirky” , “endearingly weird”, and “Dr. Pepper-coming-out-of your-nose—funny.”   She thinks this is great.

· She was a band geek and choir nerd.  She still is.

· She attend school all over the work, but her favorite was San Patricio’s in Bogota, Colombia.

Bettina is a mommy, a wife, a daughter, a little sister and a friend.  She spends her free time cleaning, cooking (not very well) , playing Legos, and keeping the Star Wars toys from being eaten by the dog.
